GO DOWNSTREAM-when there is a glut in supply will result in price going down,thus in order to reduce the risk we have decided to go into manufacturing of tapioca chips.We have the competitive advantage as supplies are abundant and certainlty will also be able to control sales of the raw tapioca to the market and get the price stabilised.We discovered that 3 tonne of tapioca can generate 1 tonne of tapioca chips at a wholesale selling price ranging between RM5500 to RM6000,whereas an ex-farm price per ton is RM600,indeed there is huge lost in opportunity cost,let say cost of production+delivery is RM2500 (reasonable)the chips manufacturer is making hefty profits as compared to we as the farmer...

At this juncture about 150 acres have been planted and by Jan 2012 we can start harvesting.The trees growing healthy and vigrous as some has reach the height about 10 feet.The problems of wildboar treat is over as we have fully electric fenced the area.We are an AGENT to this product and seems to work well as deterrent to willboar attack.

Lemon grass(Serai)

Hari ini(4/6/11) kami mula menanam SERAI-jenis Serai Gajah,permintaan nya tinggi kerana lebih besar saiznya,wangi dan shelf life lebih lama.Harga serai gajah masih baik di pasaran dan masa bulan puasa lepas(Aug 11)permintaan macam goreng pisang panas,kami dapat bekalan yg bersih dari pembekal benih.Matalamat kami untuk tanam 30 ekar,tapi masaalah ialah untuk dapat benih yang cepat dan cukup,sehingga kini 5 ekar telah diusahakan.Insyallah,untuk bulan puasa 2012 kami dah boleh masuk pasaran,serai tempoh matangnya diantara 6-8 bulan kalau tunggu lebih lama lagi ia akan kecut. dan akibatnya kurang beratnya.

Fasa KeDua

Fasa ke2 bermula bulan April 2011 dan kali ini kami mesti berjaya,insyallah bulan Januari 2012 kami boleh gali hartakarun tu.Fasa pertama,hasilnya not to our target, yield nya kurang, kami d serang babi hutan..mungkin pagar tak cukup kukuh...Sehingga ke hari ini 150 ekar telah pun di tanam.
Alhamdulillah dgn penjagaan yg rapi(membaja,weeding dan pruning)pokok nya nampak sihat dan baik.

Our biggest problem,the wildboar digging for the fruits is somewhat being controlled,the result of installation of electric fencing (abt 3 km in length),notwithstanding this the workers still make their rounds at night just to be sure that all is safe and sound.
